Creake Abbey sits within beautiful water meadows just a few miles south of Burnham Market and the glorious north Norfolk coast.

A stone’s throw from the impressive ruins of an Augustinian Abbey, dating from 1206, you’ll find an array of independent shops offering homewares, design, furniture, fabrics, antiques, glassware and pristine, pre-loved designer clothing and accessories. Services include a boutique hairdresser and a dog groomer. The Barn Café on site is open within a bright and airy space decorated by Kelling Home and adjacent to a wonderful, colourful emporium run by Kelling Home & Friends.

The popular and award-winning Creake Abbey Farmers' Market takes place on the first Saturday of the month (excluding January) providing a forum for over 65 food and drink producers/farmers/growers/makers from across East Anglia to share and sell their food and drink.

There is ample free parking right beside the shops.

If you are looking for a place to stay have a look at the charming holiday cottage, the Carrot House, at Creake Abbey. Click on the “Stay” tab for full information.

Farmers’ Market

We host our award-winning Farmers’ Market on the first Saturday of each month (excluding January). There are over 60 stalls to choose from offering fresh local produce including meat, fresh vegetables, fruit and flowers in season, cheeses, cakes, savoury and sweet tartes, pies, fudge, artisan breads, pickles, oils, vinegars, preserves, local wines & ales, juices and plants plus much more.

The market is delighted to have been named as a Champion in the East of England at the Countryside Alliance Awards 2025. This award recognises the many ways in which the market supports farmers, growers and small businesses in the food & drink sector across the East of England. Diana Brocklebank Scott, owner of Creake Abbey and Stephen Brown of SR Brown Farms (Old Coach House Fruit) will be attending the ceremony at the House of Lords.
