Farmers’ Market, Saturday 7th November, 9.30am to 1pm

We are delighted to confirm that the November farmers’ market on Saturday 7th November 2020 is going ahead despite lockdown v2.  Purchasing on the day will be welcomed by stall holders, but advance orders will also be offered.  One-way systems will continue to be in place and numbers within the market area and within each of the barns will be monitored.  Any new Government guidance will also be implemented.  We appreciate your patience if short queues form…we are working together to help you shop safely and securely while at Creake Abbey.

It is not essential for you to order from stall holders in advance of market day but you can do so and then you simply come to collect.  Collecting pre-ordered and pre-paid for items shortens the amount of time you need to be shopping and around others not in your household.  Contact details for each stall holder due to attend can be found below.  If you are looking for a specific stall holder not in the list this means they are either are unable to attend or we haven’t been able to contact them.

Stalls will be outside in the fresh air and widely spaced in the usual barn areas.  Please follow the signs and the marshals’ guidance.

Please heed the following guidance:

  • Please shop with as few members of your family as practical.
  • Please stay around 1 -2  meters from anyone not in your household at all times.
  • Please follow instructions from the car parking marshals and any queue marshals who are there to ensure your safety and that of the stall holders and other visitors.
  • Please use hand sanitiser on arrival (this will be provided).

Please note stalls may not be where they usually are so do ask if you need to find someone specifically.

Producers unable to attend the November market but returning in December include: Bread Source, Pies, Puds and Tarts, The Welly Boot Bakery, Rosie’s Catering, Nelson & Norfolk Tea and Burn Valley Vineyard.  We are working hard to find an alternative baker and confirm that fresh sourdough sticks and loaves together with bread from Krusty Loaf will be available in the Food Hall.

We say goodbye to Jimmy Denny of Alburgh Lamb and to Stephen Brown of Old Coach House Fruit with seasonal fruit who we look forward to seeing in spring 2021.

We are grateful to Environmental Health, Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk, James Wild MP and Norfolk Constabulary for their input and help in getting this event arranged.

The Food Hall at Creake Abbey will remain open throughout lockdown v2.  Come to the shop or place your order by phone.  Open Wednesday to Sunday inclusive, 9am to 4pm.  Local free delivery within 5 miles, ordering and paying by phone welcome.  Call 01328 730399 option 2 or email foodhall@creakeabbeycafe.com.  The Café is offering a full takeaway menu with the same opening times as the Food Hall.

The stall holders at Creake Abbey are hugely grateful for your support.

We look forward to seeing you!
