Rescue Wooden Boats presents ‘A Day of Maritime Events’ at Creake Abbey – Saturday 12th August, 10am to 5pm

Celebrate our seagoing history and bring old crafts back to life.

A day of Maritime Heritage Events in the Main Barn at Creake Abbey, including:

• Rescue Wooden Boats short films rolling though the day
• A wooden crab boat to see and a quiz with prizes
• A workshop for families – make something that floats and take it home!
• A knots workshop for families – learn some new ones!
• Displays to read
• People to chat to about wooden boats and lifeboats
• A raffle to win a family trip for 4 on Dunkirk Little Ship lifeboat Lucy Lavers
• RWB merchandise for those gifts and t-shirts
• TWO film showings of our evocative 1hr film of Lucy Lavers return to Dunkirk in 2015 – 75 years on. This includes history of Dunkirk and Lucy Lavers history as well as her recent trip after her refurbishment by charity RWB.

A pay bar and snacks are available
